in the evening/night he had to do something for one of his university courses. “it’s not difficult work, but very time consuming…” he heard a friend tell him regarding something completely different, yet it was non the less true for this homework. it was kind of boring work but he really had to concentrate in order not to make any typos or copy/cut-paste errors. and to concentrate on boring stuff gets very tiresome after a shorter time than you would like.
to give some perspective on the work to be done: he was studying something with and involving computers. what exactly, he himself was not so sure. he sometimes felt that his co-students and even professors were not entirely sure either, but that was just a feeling.
he knew it was work that would take longer than he wanted it to, but the fact, that he knew that, did nothing to lessen the frustration about it. this frustrated him even more.
