the story about him – part 1

he lay on his back on the couch, looking out of the window – not at the ceiling.
he had some time to himself and was trying to figure out what to do now.
the blue sky was as blue as it gets: easy to look at and to get lost in it, yet hard to withstand the spreading melancholy. if you seldom have time to do as you please, you often (if not always…) find yourself over-thinking what could be done in said time. which leads to wasting precious time. every time.
“get up and do something!” the voice in his head was screaming.
he sat up. no use in just lying there.
maybe he should watch the last 2 seasons of Stargate. he never got around doing so. ever since O’Neill was no longer part of SG-1 he felt that the show lost it’s je ne sais quois. but he felt he owed it to Stargate to watch it. he had seen everything else. Universe, sadly canceled. Atlantis with its Puddlejumpers. those are some wonderful series and wonderful memories of watching them. to him not knowing how SG-1 ends feels like somehow unfinished business. but on the other hand, there’s still something to look forward to. “if i don’t watch it, it will never be over. but let’s face it: it’s once again something you have not finished.” the voice in his head always seemed to say exactly that kind of stuff he didn’t want to hear. so he stood up, walked to his desk and opened his laptop. “oh, no, don’t even get me started…” the voice in his head immediately declared sternly when his thoughts started to reel around to the fact that he wanted to buy a new laptop and had to do some research on which one to get. ignoring the open laptop-related tabs in the browser he started to look for a suitable streaming site…
